Early Literacy Resource Library

Visit the early literacy library at the YMCA Early Years Centre at 161 Roger Street in Waterloo! The library provides resources resources for community professionals who work with young children. Parents do no directly access the library, but community professionals working with their children may use the library on behalf of the family.

The library collection includes:

  • Big Books
  • Literacy Story Bags
  • Props and Manipulatives
  • Theme Boxes
  • Board Games
  • CD and DVD resources
  • Professional resource books
  • Other resource materials

Use the library for free! You don't need a membership or library card to borrow items. Borrow up to three items for two weeks at a time. Fill out a loan request card at the library to reserve items for future dates. There is a charge for any lost or damaged items.

The library is open during YMCA Early Years Centre hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 4pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 7pm
  • Saturday from 9am to 1pm
